Here’s 6 of the awesome activities that you can plan while you’re away:

Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is not to be missed in Egypt. The Red Sea is world renowned as one of the best places to scuba dive. The ocean floor is covered in a whole host of interesting things, from shipwrecks to loads of tropical fish. You don’t have to be an expert, there are plenty of beginner courses, and you can simply have 1 day scuba diving or as much as 5 days exploring the ocean.

Ras Mohammed National Park

On this nature reserve you’ll find unspoiled deserts, beautiful white sandy beaches, and plenty more places to dive and snorkel to your hearts content. You won’t believe the sheer amount of sea life that live here; there’s over 1000 different species of tropical fish, 150 different crustaceans and lots of sea turtles.

Mount Sinai & St Catherines Monastery

Mount Sinai is the place history claims Moses was given the ten commandments. You’re in for a long walk when you visit here, as it’s a tiring 4000 steps up to the summit – taking 3 hours on average. However, it’s so worth it when you reach the top and enjoy the amazing views of the desert. If you’re not feeling up to the climb, you can visit St Catherine’s Monastery at the bottom, which is one of the oldest in the whole world.

Bedouin Adventure

On this Bedouin adventure you can experience some real Egyptian culture, starting out with a big feast in a candlelit tent. After dinner, everybody tries a shisha pipe (a must when on Sharm el Sheikh holidays) and enjoys a cup of delicious Bedouin tea.

Desert Safari

Fancy exploring the golden sands of the Egyptian desert? It’s up to you how you do it; whether that’s on the back of a camel, in a 4 x 4 or on a quad bike. You can also choose to go at dusk or dawn to watch the sun rise/set. Either way it’s a memorable experience!

Valley of The Kings

This should be a site that everyone aims to see at least once in their lifetime. The Valley of The Kings is just as monumental as the Taj Mahal or the Grand Canyon. The Valley of The Kings was the burial ground for Pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, plus you can still take a look at some underground tombs.

We hope you’ve now got plenty of ideas for your holiday to Sharm el Sheikh, but you’ll no doubt have even more choices when you arrive!
